PostSubject: cassie in town   Mon 28 Feb 2011, 6:12 pm

I took Cassie into town today something which these days I rarely do, she was very hyper and excited to see all the people, so I think I shall have to start taking her for a walk around town more often as she never used to be like this.

I was thinking of maybe just finding a seat and letting her watch the people go by, what do you think, as we live in an isolated spot she never gets to see many people

cheers xxx

Sitting on the bench seems a really good idea to me - Cassie gets to see it all going on but isn't chucked in at the deep end

This is a funny coincidence we were just saying the other day that our lot are undersocialised in the winter. Even where we walk we can be out for ages and see no one. It's totally different in the summer they see loads of people and other dogs.

I'm going to steal your good plan and do the same with ours - find a comfy place to settle and let them watch spinner smile

I hate taking Ruby and Elsdon into town it's always so busy and there are too many legs about but do it now and then to get them used to it. You are both so right about being under socialised in winter, both with people and other dogs.

dell has his own bench outside for him to watch the world go by
in winter he sits on the end of the sofa
he looks like king of the castle
he knows who's who as well

Awwwwww bless Cassie - my boys would be the same honey - I think the bench idea is great as it gives you chance to watch and learn when Cassie becomes excited xxxxx
