Now that firework season is upon us who is going to have issues? Do your dogs suffer with the fireworks or do they not bother them?

If you dog is affected how do you deal with it?

The boys don't bother with fireworks so I'm hoping indie and lola remain calm too, I think they will as the last thunderstorm the 4 of them sat watching the lightening at the back door.

The boys do this with fireworks too!

Will let you know about the thundershirt when I get it linda xx

Bailey stresses big time and we ignore him.

I hate doing it but if we fuss him he gets worse. We've thought of going away on the worst weekend but we have the three cats and it just wouldn't be fair on them they get scared too and I like to know they are indoors.

Ruby and Elsdon aren't bothered by them nor by thunder and lightening, so I think we are lucky.

.Not looking forward to it here. Taz has been a quivering wreck the past couple of years. I used serenum tablets last year which helped but unfortunately I have a playing fields right across the road which the people round about me like to use for setting them off. Thankfully star didn't seem to bother about them last year

Kassi is an intense wreck, she even listens out for them.

She was always ok when I had my Greyhound who was scared and now Ollie is no longer with us Kassi has taken over the scared crown.

We had some going off a couple of weeks ago and she was dreadful. She wants to hide in the bathroom and shakes like hell and pants and pants.

Ignoring them is the best thing, but it is very hard.

I have the TV up full blast.

I used the Scary Sounds CD the other day but she was just as bad

I feel so sorry for all of you, I went through it with Elli so I know how upset they get. She used to either shake and pant in the bathroom or sit behind Glynn looking really worried. There is a reason why they go to the bathroom but just can't think of it at the moment?

They go in the bathroom because of all the pipes, it takes away the vibrations

As many of you will know, Poppy is absolutely terrified of fireworks, poppers, or anything that makes a bang even football against fence / garage, she would literally chew through doors.
I am very much against using chemicals on Ollie and Poppy now, I treat them homeopathically and the improvement in Ollie has been immense.
Last year I gave Poppy some homoepathic remedy for her fear however I didnt start it early enough but this year I have brought some Bach Emergency Essence to add to their water which I have already started and have already seen improvement.
