May sounds like a silly question but can anyone recommend a decent whistle? I want to train Reuben to respond to a whistle but only in an emergency recall situation.

He was a bit naughty on Sunday and ran away a short distance twice and ignored me calling him back which is very unlike him. On one occasion he ran through a gate and it took him to a road, thankfully he came back within a minute but it could have been much worse.

The one I have was a freebie from Burns pet food, its a bit like a ref,s whistle, I also have one that I bought in pets at home, but that isnt as good, its not so easy to blow if that makes sense, why not try a good sports shop?

I have two, an old police whistle which I got from the club and one I got from somewhere or other. It does get their attention if you need it and I also have a squeekie at home that I need to take with me but haven't found a way to stop it squeeking in my pocket yet!

ive been thinking about the tube thingy out of one of the deceased piggies
you have to blow through it to make a noise and it gets dell's attention right away

I like the little plastic shepherd whistles, you can make lots of different types of whistle sounds for different commands, but I had a nightmare learning how to use it!
