Do any of your dogs seem to get stagefright when other people / dogs are watching?

Kai WONT do flyball at training / competition he just goes to the box gets the ball and chews it, different story when its just us though.

We had Kai, Lola and Indie out today with the flyball stuff and kai was great ran brilliantly with no netting at all, he was doing changeovers with Indie and everything!

Just frustrating that he won't do it in front of others. I would never force him as he's obviously not happy doing it just trying to figuire out why?

He loves it too very happy and proud when hes just with us.

That's unusual Claire, dogs usually love to show off, perhaps he's just a shy dog at heart spinner smile

I would suspect it is more to do with environment. When you do it with your guys it will be pretty quiet compared to the competition environment where there are loads of hyper noisy dogs, maybe he is not able to relax enough at competitions?

I would go with Jo's thoughts too.

Maybe if you try and make more noise when it is just both of you and pump up the excitement or try him with one or two other dogs to start with.
