I have contacted defra today with regard to which countries staffies are allowed to visit and which countries they are banned from visiting, I thought that staffies were welcome in france but today I have been doing some research and the information is so unclear, so thought we all needed some clarity

I will post the reply when I recieve it

Thanks Allie. I think Net is taking Bubbles to France next month some time? She has got a passport for him so I'd be interested to read DEFRA's reply.

Bertie says he doesn't want to go camping in France anyway - so he doesn't care that they won't let him in cos he's mongrel - & then he blew a huge raspberry!

I have heard stories about people having dogs taken in france, but I also know people who breed staffys in france, its definitly a strange one, I think your dog may have to be registered to guarentee safety.

Thats the worry Toni, it is such a grey area, hopefully defra will be able to help, I had an email today and it could be 15 working days before I receive a reply
