PostSubject: Bodie MIA **Now home**   Fri 15 Jun 2012, 1:01 pm

Bodie has not been home since yesterday tea time. He went out and was with the potential stray that keeps visiting us. I last saw him just before I went to dog training at 8pm and he has not been seen since.
I went out looking for him last night and the 'stray' was in our back garden but Bodie was no where to be seen. I went out again this morning about 6am and again Bodie could not be found and the stray was sat on the shed roof.

Bodie cannot get into the back garden as he cannot jump the fence so I am hoping he is hiding away somewhere on the street when I get home.

I kmow he was not in the vicinity walking about this morning as I can hear his new bell and can usually find him that way.

I have just rung home and still no site so looks like I will be out searching again tonight!

haha, or shove a tracker on his collar. lol

I can remember the first time Henry went missing, I was gutted, in tears, then he came back. Then he went again. It was one of those things, he always came back in the end. spinner smile

He's a real wanderer - it'd drive me mad.

Can you put anything on the other side of the fence temporarily that would help him but not help anything bigger get over your fence or is it someone else's garden ?

He is chipped so at least if he turns up at the home or vets I will be contacted. He also has a new ID disc on with my phone number so if someone takes him in locally they can contact me

My only concern is that if he has followed the stray he could be anywhere. When I was trying to trace the strays owners someone mentioned he hangs around their house and it is a 30 minute walk away at least

Thing is the blinking stray turned up last night and this morning and again tonight but no site of my own cat!

Yes he recognises me when he see's me. Just been out again and asked everyone I saw (mainly teenagers though at this time) and no one has seen him. The shop said he has not been in for a while either.
Calling it a night now as it is dark and raining so he won't be out and about, he will probably be sheltering somewhere and wont here me

I will put an ad in the local shop if he is not back tomorrow.

sounds like the stray did away with him to take his place :P
just kidding, I do hope you find him it's no fun when a pet goes missing.

do people in the UK ever have cat runs set up outside? like a big long cage attached to the house so the cat can go outside but can't go anywhere? I know lots of people with them here, I think they're great as they 1. keep your cat safe and 2. keep the native birds and small animals safe from your cat!

hope he comes back Jo

Bodie is now home safe and sound. He has been in someones garden for 2 days (I have found him here before) but this time he was in their back garden and did not leave, I assume as they have a 6 foot fence and solid gate around it and he cound not get out. They have been feeding him for the last two days and he came into their house today and they got my phone number off his disc.

I imagine I may find him here again now they have been feeding him
