PostSubject: another bad case for the rescue   Sat 04 Aug 2012, 8:22 am

North Clwyd Animal Rescue has had yet another disturbing case of neglect come in;

http://ncarblog.blogspot.co.uk/2012/08/horrific-how-could-someone-do-this.html?tw_p=twt

it's heartbreaking.

We've only just got a Husky (Lewis) back into some sort of health after he came to us in a very similar state a few months back.

OMG how awful, that poor little girl looks like she has not eaten for weeks. I dread to think what she has been through in her young life

Thank god she has been rescued

I don't want to view the post as I can imagine its appauling - thank goodness this pup is now safe x

Is there any way we can run petitions to try and raise awareness and prevent this from happening Adam?

that's what really hurts, because she has been so under-nurished for such an important development stage of her life she will never even come close to her full physical potential. She is destined to be smaller, weaker and much more prone to injury and illness than a pup raised normally. Not to mention how much shorter her life span may now be. The damage has really already been done.
Hopefully though she will be in a decent home soon and getting the most out of life to make up her shocking existance so far.

I'm not sure about that Suzie, I've never really been involved in that side of the rescue, but social networking seems to be pretty good for raising awareness so circulating her story as far as possible could be a start? or use her as a basis for something?

I've already shared her story but it never reaches where it needs to be. Most of my friends are involved in rescue or have dogs and already know how bad the world is

Were very tempted to ask for her for our Conrad, but being the back of beyond wont be in the reckoning.
I saw this this afternoon, I hope the people who did this to her get there just rewards. What goes around comes around.

Go for it Linda, I didn't think I had a chance with Elsdon as he was in London x

He was so worth the extra mile (s) we had to go to get him.

Just had a look at her, didn't want to at first, I'm so fed up with people abusing dogs. She's lovely and if I can help you in any way if you decide to rehome her just let me know.

she's actually in a foster home at the moment, living with a good family who have a few dogs to help socialise her, I think she will stay with them until she gets much better health and learns how to be in a home and with dogs.

I would still send it off Linda, you never know how foster will work out and there be a need to her to move onto another foster family eventually

she is only on foster, the family can't keep her long term, just till she finds a proper home.
It's worth contacting NCAR anyway to get the full story. I'm not really involved in that side of things and unless Carla suddenly turns into a 'problem dog' I'll probably not be involved with her.

you should be able to track her progress on;

I have just mailed paws for thought offering Carla a home with us & Poppy if we are deemed suitable.
No little girl should have to suffer like she has, just hope we can be the sunshine in her life

Wish someone would come up with the answer to this.

Those that can have already got dogs and or help towards rescues in whatever way they can but how do you get the message out to those that cause this pain or commit this level of neglect and cruelty.

Got a email off the charity to say they have a foster then home for Carla.
Im so pleased and happy that there are people who still are prepared to help and care for such as her.
Good Luck Carla in your new foster / then permanant home, ( the fear has already gone out of her eyes ) and well done North Clywd Rescue for doing a great job.
