PostSubject: Still fuming....   Sun 26 Aug 2012, 6:09 pm

Unable to go on our usual country walk due to the shooting season I decided to take the boys to the local country park for a walk today. After being robbed blind by the car park attendant £2.50 - it's cheaper to park in the city centre we made our way into the park to walk round the loch. Being sunny the place was heaving so kept the boys on their leads as there were lots of bikes around!

The country park is in an area where there aren't a lot of Staffies so got lots of wide berths and dirty looks which I'm getting immune to now but then round the corner pranced a rat(now I call Toby a rat but this truly was some designer cross breed with a tutu on) on a flexi lead which started growling and barking at the boys and snapping at caesar's legs - full credit to him he totally ignored it and kept walking forward by my side but the woman grabbed her dog up and screamed at me "that thing should be shot look how it's upset my princess." Normally I would have had something to say to this woman but to be honest really couldn't be bothered by her and just walked past. Now I wish I had given her a mouthful! Had many worse incidents than this since getting Caesar but some days people's ignorance really p****s me off!

What a silly moo, I bet there were lots of comments about her dog in a tu tu.

Anyone that dresses a dog like that has no room to make opinions about anyone elses dog, ignore her Kirsty and try not to let it spoil your day

Think that's why I just kept walking.....could feel I was about to go on a major rant lol! No wonder her dog had issues! Glad it wasn't a bigger dog as Caesar probably would have had a growl, he's so used to Toby biting at his ankles that it didn't phase him :-)

How long until the shooting season is over? Can't wait to go back up our lovely quiet hill!!!

Fair enough dressing them up for Halloween or a sponsored walk but for a walk in a park - really?

Why do people think their wig dogs have priority over the entire park?????

I'm sorry but she would have got a fishwife mouthful from me, as calm + serene as I usually am *angelic smile*

Tilly would have ripped it's face off for the pink tutu then ripped Boris's face off when he answered her honestly when she asked 'does my bum look big in this?' lol

Our babies are what they are, all we can do is be like you, a responsible person xxx

How horribly rude of the silly woman, poor dog is all I can say having to put up with her.

You always seethe after the event and think of all the things you could or would have said.

Don't let it get to you - your dogs did you proud.
