PostSubject: Shelter today   Mon 27 May 2013, 5:31 pm

It was the summer fair at our local shelter today and hubby fell in live with a six months old staffie. Paperwork stated it was a female and owners could not cope and it looked so sad we ended up taking it for a walk.
However when they brought her out she was a he so straight away I said no, however as he was out of the kennel we still took him for a walk. He was absoloutely adorable and had he been a she I suspect we would have reserved her pending meets with Reuben

He was a beautiful tiger brindle and so friendly with everyone and everything, such a shame he was in the kennels at such a young age. There were lots of visitors to the shelter today so I am sure it won't be long before he finds a home

Awww poor baby being in the kennels cry2 ...

I always said I'd never have 2 boys together again after my late Samson and Ollie as they use to have the occasional fight
but
Shadow and Buddy seem to be getting along like an house on fire...they play but never had a fight thank goodness...there is only a few months between them both age wise so not sure whether that has helped

Hope Reuben is doing well x

I have made my mind up that we won't be having another dog full stop. Life is very easy with just the one and if I took on another it would need to get on with Buddy and Snoop plus all our doggy friends on the forum and other friends we see on our daily walks and it is quite a big ask.

molly who we took out a while ago fitted the bill perfectly but she got a home so it was not to be
