PostSubject: Boosters tonight   Tue 22 Oct 2013, 9:38 pm

Reuben had his boosters and KC vaccine tonight. The vet was very complementary about his condition which is always nice to hear.
When I was away last week I weighed Reuben and he was exactly 20kg (which I thought was a bit heavy for him), however on the scales tonight he was 18.1kg which i nearer to what he usually is.

Nice jo , can I ask how much you paid , we took alfie on Monday & it was £42.50 :( sure we didn't pay that last year). They have also changed the product they use due to an increase of some disease in the uk ( got a leaflet at home ) & we had to go back in four weeks for the secound jab just like when starting off , they said the company that makes the products picks the extra cost up , ????

Cody is 21 kilos give or take a few grams but still looks a bit lean and I'd like him to gain a bit more.

Funny enough, I just posted about booster vaccinations in the other section!

Lulu has had her last vac tonight , it was the month apart one .....Nobivac.
Senior Staffies had to post it up to us as our vet doesn't have it up here.
Im quite confused by the scales Jo.
Lulu is 22.15 at the vets tonight and 20.09 at WCF the other day and she was 20 coming from Senior Staffies.
Although she is starting to show a waistline now.

I don't pay for them at the time Martin. I am part of the healthy pet scheme which is ten pounds a month and covers vacs, KC, flea and worming treatment plus one free consult a year and 10% off everything else

I think it works out about £50 as the KC is usually half price if you have it done with the vacs

The change in vacs is for the leptospirosis, Reuben has to go back in four weeks too for his second jab

does everyone have the KC one done ? wiley hasnt had that done ? infact they never offered me that one , and reading online its only seems to be recommended if your dogs go in kennels ?? is that right

Martin vets 4 pets do a vac's for life which is good , if your dogs up to date then its a 99 pound one off fee and your dog is then vacced for life , thats what i got wiley

glad to hear reuban is back to his normal weight Jo

Rueben does not go in kennels but he socialises with lots of other dogs and we go to places where lots of dogs walk so there is always a risk. We also used to go to weekly training classes which I have not done for a while but I am thinking of going back so I think it's useful for him to have the Kennel Cough

I don't do Kennel cough with mine - The boys had it once but it was a squirt up their nose and I'm pretty sure they sneezed it all out! Rogue had KC last year but none of my others caught it from her even living under the same roof x

yep as long as hes up to date with his vacs its £99 , i had to pay i think it was £126 for life as wiley wasnt up to date , so needede to be up to date before i could go on that

The only clause with it , is you have to have his vacs done on time , if they run out and go over due you lose your 99 pound and have to start again
