PostSubject: Nice quiet dogs   Tue 21 Jan 2014, 11:14 pm

We have been walking the dogs in a local industrial estate at night recently and it's great because it's lit and fairly quiet.

Last night we did 3.5 miles and tonight 4.2 tend to have the girls off lead and boys on flexi leads.
So we have quiet dogs tonight. Though some more tired than others - diesel is in our bed under the duvet but indie brought is a toy when we got in lol.

It was a bit wet but it's not so bad when you're prepared. The dogs had coats on too so they just had to get their paws and heads dried.

I do that Claire , I go off to a place near me called Trafford park , I park the car up & go for a good walk ,I must have started doing this about 8-9 years ago when we still had my 1st lad jake , my gaffer rescued one of my neighbours  dogs an Australian Shepard called misha , we had her for weekends quite often as jake & her got on so well but she used to get so dirty on the walks on the local fields I decided to put them in the van & go walk them both in Trafford park that way they both stayed clean & nobody was about really.
Do you find it easier as I defo did ?

I wish we had somewhere like that near here.  At the moment Reuben is not being walked every day due to him getting stressed with noise and it is still too dark to go on the fields or up to the farm after work.

I love to see my two fast asleep after a good run, that is the sign of a contented dog.

Cheeky Diesel sneaking under the duvet  lol!

I do find it easier Martin, We very rarely meet anyone and its just a nice quiet walk without the hassle. We used to walk round the block at our house quite a lot but Diesel likes to spend his time on the lookout for cats which is annoying lol.
