PostSubject: Met an off lead dog   Mon 05 May 2014, 12:11 am

When out on our walk today I could hear an owner calling her dog, when I turned around it was running towards us, Enzo was ahead of me off lead not aware that this dog was coming, I didn't have time to put him back on lead.
So for the first time in over a year he met a dog who we hadn't seen before whilst both being off lead.
To be fair, Enzo did well, they both did the pause then play, then a sniff of each other, but I could tell Enz had had enough after that. His body language wasn't great so I stroked the other dog to show it was ok but he wouldn't leave Enz alone so he did get a little growl, but when I said "ah ah" he stopped so it didn't turn into anything nasty, just a warning I think.
After that it ran back to the owner. I praised Enz and we carried on but guess what, the other dog was back, by this time I couldn't even see the owner! I think the dog was quite young and hyper, it jumped up at me and was level with my face!

They did the exact same scenario again and a little growl from Enz, so I got the other dog by its collar and pulled it away from Enz and shooed it away.
Luckily it didn't turn into anything big and I was impressed with Enz. No idea what the owner was playing at!
