PostSubject: Reuben bit Benson   Thu 29 May 2014, 9:17 pm

Benson is a lovely very big dopey lab who wants to play with everything. Usually Reuben is very tolerant of him as long as he has his ball to play with so pretty much ignores him whereas Belle absoloutely adores playing with him.

Tonight we were just leaving the fields Benson and his owner was a bit further up the field and benson saw us but we carried on walking of as I has to get home. However as we were walking up the path Benson came bounding up behind us, he was being quite noisy which caused Reuben to turn around and before I could reign him in he lunged at Benson and bit him in the face, he did not latch on as I pulled him back as he struck so there was no injury although Benson did yelp when he made contact

I was disappointed in Reuben's actions although Bensons owner was fine about it as he should not have chased after us

Awww honey bless you. At least no harm was done so to speak. These incidents do happen to the best of us.

Hopefully their next play day will be fun and the whole thing has been forgotten xx

Yep unlike us dogs live in the moment and forget things quickly. Caesar was badly bitten at a dog show(we were in the ring at the time and the dog flew in and attacked him) and since then has met the dog several times(she's been muzzled since thankfully) and has shown no ill reaction to her.....I on the other hand was much more nervous!

Enzo doesn't like it if dogs run up to him from behind either, I don't blame Rueben it obviously made him jump!
