PostSubject: Heat stroke   Mon 28 Jul 2014, 5:28 pm

Sadly I have seen a couple of stories in the last week of dogs dying from heat stroke, one which had been playing in the garden with the children

Please take care with your dogs and if they have to miss a couple of walks due to the heat it wont do them any harm

So heart breaking, people simply don't realise how quickly heat stroke strikes.

It happened to me once, when Diesel was a pup. Scared the life out of me, luckily I knew what to do.

I never exercise in warm weather xx

Good post Jo.

I am keeping mine well away from this heat it is so heavy as well as sunny so no air.

Just keep them all as cool as possible and if need be use a damp towel to cool them down

Oh no, how sad

One of the local dgo walkers on the field last night was telling me about a dog that had died locally. A bull mastiff had been in the garden all day and by the time they realised what was wrong it was too late.
