PostSubject: Lost Enzo up the hill   Tue 29 Jul 2014, 8:55 pm

I was walking Enz up the hill yesterday when I stopped to take some photos of two hawks flying above. When I looked back I couldn't see Enzo. I didn't worry as I thought he was just over the brow of the hill, it was quite long tall grass and bumpy ground so I called his name and usually he would come running but he didn't.

So I walked around looking for him and calling him for about 3 minutes and couldn't see or hear him.

It's weird because I wasn't worried. I knew he wouldn't run off and was probably just looking for me lol. There's never anyone around up there and he wouldn't be able to get to the road.

Eventually I seen him after lots of calling and whistling, he was stood still looking for me, I think he could hear me but just couldn't see me.
I thought it was strange but was just glad I found him.....

Well tonight it has all made sense.

I came home from work and he's been sick. In the sick was a big chunk of bone and bits of crushed up bone.

So this was what he was doing when I couldn't find him. He was obviously preoccupied eating something nasty.

I took him to the vets, didn't even book an appointment I just went straight there. They said to keep an eye on him, he was very spritely and they weren't worried.

He's eaten, not been sick since and had no diarrhea so fingers crossed he's ok.

Flippin dog!

Oh dear, probably some dead wildlife he had come across, no wonder he did not come back to you.

Glad he is OK though and hopefully his tum has now settled. These dogs of ours like to keep us on our toes don't they xx

Do you think it can make him seriously ill though eating something like that?

He hasn't been sick again yet but he was licking his lips a lot just now. I just hope he doesn't get diarrhea from it or keep being sick.

I would imagine it would upset his stomach as it is probably rotten given the weather we have had and it is not his usual 'food' so it would definately no agree with him

Usually when mine lick their lips a lot they then vomit. How has he been overnight
