He is a Half Moon Plakat betta

He has completely changed colour, I'll see if I can find a recent pic

Why do they change colour? Is it the water temp? Maturity? Breeding time?

Please do look for the pic. I'm really interested now.

Marbles can change colour, all my other boys have remained the same colour. I can't find a pic but I have a video which I'm just trying to upload

Oh he's gorgeous.
He looks bigger in the video? Are his changes due to maturity? Or is there a love interest? blush

I think because he is marble he can continually change. Before his fins started to turn red they went jet black so he may not stay green and red
Hes the first marble I have owned and it is very interesting watching him change

There will be no love interest for him, males and females cannot be kept together as they are very aggressive fish. They can only be put together to breed and that has to be monitored.

A couple of my more placid boys (inc this one) do have some little rasboras as tank mates whereas most of my boys wont have anything in with them and would kill anything smaller than them
