PostSubject: Poor Diesel **updated**   Sat 07 Feb 2015, 4:23 pm

Gosh my boy Diesel was at emergency vet today.

I was playing with him when I noticed a large pink finger like structure next to one of his canines which was not there last week.

As I thought the vet said it's epulis which is basically a tumor.

Diesel will now require a biopsy to determine if it's cancerous.

Please could you all send positive thoughts for a positive outcome

We were both so upset at vets today xx

Oh no, fingers crossed it is benign.

When is he going in for the biopsy?

Thanks Jo.

I only noticed it today Judy after midday, it can't have been there long as I do checked their mouth regular.

We went to emergency vet today as our vet closed at 12 noon

We're ringing Monday and hopefully get an appointment the same evening and hoping for biopsy or removal on Friday

Will keep you all posted.

Just trying to stay positive as Diesel is my big teddy bear and wouldn't know how to cope if anything happened to him xx

Thanks to everyone who sent positive thoughts as it worked.

Had the insurance form all ready to go and had holidays at work on standby.... But neither was required.

Arthur our vet said he wasn't concerned and an operation wasn't necessary.

We are to keep an eye on it and if any symptoms develop such as growing larger, lethargy, drooling. Off food then to take him back.

To say we were relieved is an understatement.

Thank you for being there for us ta

It was Sel, never want to experience that again.

Although I was worried why one vet said remove it and our regular vet said not to.

Does make you wonder a little xx

As you know I've just gone through this with Tyson, but on his foot. Does your vet think it will go away in time or would it need to be removed?

Hi Tracy, the vet said it won't go away on it own but is not worried about it and that if Diesel starts to drool or off his food or if it grows to take him back for surgery xx
