Hello

Just had wiley out on a local park for a quick walk and ball play , when a couple came on with a whippet on a lead so i put wiley back on his lead as its only a small park and the dog was too close for my liking cause wiley might leg it and say hello , anyway he started whining and wanting to go and see this dog , so i carried on walking round the park and everywhere this dog had been he was sniffing and pulling to try and get near this dog , even when it left the park he wanted to go with it , do you reackon it was a bitch on heat ? i didnt dare let him loose to play ball after that incase he legged it after it

Could have been yes, maybe that was why it was kept on lead too
Or maybe because it was a new dog that Wiley hadn't met before he was intrigued

I don't know from what you've said? Maybe a bitch?  But even my desexed male.... you cannot stop him racing to scent mark after my female or any uknown dog!

But mine also wants to go say hello to ANYONE.  So, I'm really not sure of Wileys intentions.

Maybe if you see them again you could talk to the ownerv& do a doggie meet & greet.

He loves to play with any dog and greet owners , but he has never whined to go to see them before , and hes certainly not wanted to follow them off the park , it was like he was on a mission to go and see that dog , if he see's a large group of dogs off lead playing then he may pull me towards them but he's never ever whined to go and see one dog on a lead before

That sounds like he was anxious & wanted to play with fellow puppies.

Could be either but if it's unusual for him to behave like that then probably a bitch on heat
