Hi Martin, bad breath can be for a number of reasons do his teeth look ok?

Does it smell fishy or just bad breath?

You could try brushing them or ho for those Mint dental sticks xx

They can get bad breath when their anal glands are full, has he skooted (dragged him bum) on the floor at all?

May need a trip to the vets to get them emptied, unless he manages to empty them himself. If he does you will know about it, especially if he happens to be lay on your knees at the time lol!

(I'm speaking from experience when Reubs did it once)

If he clears his anal glands, there'll be no mistake. Dog poop is a bouquet of flowers next to that.

If its just his breath? Parsley will help greatly. Fresh, not dried mixed in his dinner.

I'll keep a close eye on him over the next few days & see if it improves ,

Tracey I knew there was something you could sprinkle on his food to help , thankyou

Youre welcome. I actually make a flour, water, egg dough with cheese, burnt bits of bacon & fresh parsley by the ton. Roll, cut out, & over bake till crunchy instead of just cooked/chewy. The dogs love them and they have lovely breath as a bonus. Very quick & easy to make, but they only keep for a couple of weeks before they spoil.

Hi that's why I mentioned fish breath as it's one sign of anal glands need emptying.

But I remember you saying he didn't scoot, but this maybe the reason now ;)

Fresh parsley on his dinner would be good or a dentastick after his meal.

Use dog toothpaste if you are going to brush our stuff is too strong.

Enzo's breath is terrible if I don't give him anything for it, Dentastix are good. I've stopped using them for a bit and have switched to carrots this week and it has helped, I give him a chunk of carrot once a day and sometimes some banana

Mine have a carrot both after breaky & dinner. Both haven't got doggie breath.
