I thought he was a siamese fighter but then I thought his tail & fins weren't long or flowing enough. How old is he? Im guessing hes quite young then?

Very handsome fish he is jo ,

My red tailed shake would see him off tho I think as he chases anything with big fins :(

There would deffo be a battle there Martin as the Betta hate anything with bright or flowing fins.

Tracy, he is a HMPK which mean half moon Plakat which is his tail type. I prefer to stick to the shorter finned makes now as they seem hardier but they are more aggressive. Not sure why

I have had long finned males in the past but as they get older they can struggle to swim with the weight of their fins

He is starting to change again and has some pale white patches on his body, I'll take another pic in a few days. As he is classed as marble he could continually change, I can't wait to see how he changes again

That will be intestesting. I believed even marbles, once they mature & change colour, don't change colour again. It's quite fascinating.

It's a shame they can't be kept together. That said there are some stunning females around now, my friend has a tank of females and they are awesome
