We've been and they have stapled the wound closed, got to go back Tuesday. He's also wearing a cone to ensure he does not pull the staples out and to say he is not impressed is an understatement

He's now banished to the conservatory until he is fully healed. He is constantly at the door trying to get out and it's too big a risk

Staples have to stay in for three weeks so no more appts until they are due for removal unless it swells at all

He's a little ****! I took his cone off at weekend and it has given him a new lease of life and he's at the door every five minutes to get out. My hubby left the back door open this morning and he was out like a shot and over that fence before I had chance to blink. It was dark and I was unable to find him before I went to work so he ended up staying out most of the day.
I had shut the dog gate as he can't get through it so he must have gone over it

His new wound is healing nicely and I can't wait for the staples to be out and the fur to grow back. His original wound is now fully healed

There is absoloutly no way he can be a house cat long term, it's just not in his nature.

He's booked in at the vets on Monday, his wound looks to be healed to me so I'm hoping they can take his stitches out

He keeps sitting at the front door crying to go out

He had his staples out and he is finally healed up. He made the most of it by being out all day and only came home about half an hour ago. I am a bit worried about how he will cope with other cats but he can keep two dogs in check so I'm sure he will be OK. He gets on fine with my next door neighbours cats but there are a few rogue toms around here and that's my concern.

It's cruel to keep him in as he is just not a house cat and that is no life for him and considering we don't know how old he is then I want him enjoy what time he has left. The amputation has only extended his life but we don't know by how long and although the liver cancer is not aggressive it could still spread. He's a tough cookie though and hopefully he will be with us for a few more years.

The only positive to come out of this is he can no longer attack Belle so things should settle down between them fingers crossed

Well Boris now spends most of his time outdoors and sometimes does not come back for nearly 24 hours, gawd knows what he is up to but three legs has not held him back at all.

We are having issues with him now in that he keeps being sick shortly after eating so I'm having to keep a record of food to see if it is a specific brand or flavour that is causing it. He has been sick on both Whiskas and kitekat so we are trying another brand. He has never had an issue on the Aldi Senior cat food so going to move him back onto that. The only thing is they only do it in sachets and he has four sachets a day so a box only lasts three days.

Hopefully we can work out what it is but if continues to vomit regardless of brand then the vets will want to see him agin to ensure that there are no masses in his stomach but for now they have asked me to monitor his food

He has not been sick since I put him on Tiger brand which is from Asda ( I think it may be there own brand)

He still keeps disappearing and was gone two days earlier in the week. I would love to know where he is going

Lol. Cats are buggars to find as they can get into the smallest spaces. I'm looking for a kennel for him at the moment so if he comes home whilst I am at work he can curl up in there. That is if my neighbours cats don't take over it, they are driving me mad at the moment

Now he is refusing to go out unless I put him out. I did get a cat cabin but he refuses to go anywhere near it.

He's also drinking an excessive amount of water so I suspect he may now have a problem with his kidneys so I need to get him booked back in at the vets.

On a positive note there has been no fights with Belle since his amputations which clearly proves he was the instigator. He can no longer lash out with only one front leg and they do actually sleep in close vicinity to each other on occasion ( usually when the fire is on)
