I'm afraid the check up did not go to well, Boris has only had one wee since Tuesday and is potentially in kidney failure. They have done a blood check and it was very high which indicates failure but could also be down to the anaesthetic.
His kidneys were ok in June so I don't know if he can go downhill so quickly. They have kept him in and put him on fluids to see if they can make him got to the toilet.
If he does not go to the toilet the prospects are bleak.

He has not moved out of his bed today apart from once to use his litter tray and twice to be sick. He has not eaten or drank since coming home from the vets yesterday but they stated he had eaten there, when he is being sick it is bile so there is no food in his tummy..
I've offered him ham but he has left it, I've also offered him some milk which he has also left.
Hoping he perks up tomorrow

He's still in bed and has not eaten again today. I don't think he has been out of his bed all night as his letter tray has not been used.
I'm nipping out shortly to buy some fresh chicken and then I'm going to take him out of his bed to see how he is and whether he will eat the chicken.
It's hard to tell as its a pyramid bed

I've had to hand feed him chicken whilst he is lay in bed but at least he's eaten it. He's been to the toilet but I'm worried about him getting dehydrated now

Awwww Jo - bless you for hand feeding him - could you ask the vet for a syringe (not the needle part) and place water in it and force water feed him, so to speak.

Poor Boris has had a major op and maybe its just taking his body time to re adjust x

I have bought a syringe today so I will try and give him some water or cat milk later if he has not drunk when I get home.

Boris was up and about when I got home from work, he's had plenty to drink and a tiny bit to eat and is currently lay in the garden enjoying the warm weather.
I've bought some tuna seeing as hes turned his nose up at the fresh chicken so hopefully he will wolf this down

Boris is almost healed up now, the stitches don't need to be removed so thankfully he does not have to go back unless there is a problem.

He's got his appetite and his grumpy attitude back but now he is no longer able to lash out at the dogs so hopefully things may settle down a bit more.

He's still adapting to three legs but does sometimes seem to forget and falls over when he tries to scratch himself.

I was a bit concerned about whether I had done the right thing as he was spending most of his time in his bed but he is now up and about a lot more and is going into the back garden daily. He's already ablue to jump up onto the furniture so it will be interesting to see if he has any interest in leaving the garden in the next few weeks. I hope not as I don't think he will be able to balance on top of the six foot fence like he did before

He's no longer on pain relief, but I do have a bottle of meta am just in case he starts to show any signs of discomfort

We are back at the vets today, Boris got out again yesterday and came back with a rip in his wound, looks like he has torn a piece of skin off. I rang the emergency vets last night but they said as it wasn't bleeding to leave him until morning
My sister is a nurse so she came around and dressed it to keep it clean and I had some pain relief in so I gave him some of that last night.

I have no idea how they are going to repair it as it does not look like it can be stitched together
