Hello

A freind of mine who also owns a staffie knocked on my door last sunday and asked if i was still walking wiley on the moss , as i go on there most days as its generally a good walk and most of the ppl on there if you attually meet anyone are good , not like the idiots you tend to meet on local parks , anyway she said im just warning you our kellys bordercollie has had to be PTS after goin on there , he's been poisoned , he losty his sight and was bledding etc it was awfull , im crapping it now and havent been on since this happened , am i over reacting or would you be the same ? i hate goin on parks i love the moss walks , i grew up on this moss and always walked the family dogs on there as a kid , but i couldnt cope if i lost wiley, no one knows if its delibrate or he's eaten something like a poisonous plant or something, but its got me real worried as wiley will eat anything

So sorry to hear this. Sadly there has been reports of laced slug pellets being purposely placed in two local parks, we have had warnings from the vets as well as local people on FB.
Personally I would stay away until you know for definate

Ive been on the moss for the first time since i was told about this , ive met my usuall dog walking ppl who have heard nothing about any poisoning's , and they go on daily , my mum has just come up with an idea tho , horse wormers can kill some bordercollies if there sensative to it , mum points out its horse worming season and she has said i wonder if he's eaten some horse poo and hes had a bad reaction he was an older dog so may of not been able to fight it ? wiley always eats horse poo on there , i stop him , but staffs arent sensative to ivermectin that i know of

Scary! If you choose to walk Wiley on the moss then do so but keep a very close eye on him .

My Shadow was out in garden last night, he came in chewing what looked like a mixture of gum and cardboard with a blue stain on it, omg I freaked, he's fine but certainly gives you a scare.

Never heard of the issue with horse poop

Our dogs are just soooo precious xxx
