He's home. He's very sleepy still but he's eaten and had a drink and had a wee.

He cried all the way home in the car.

Poor boy.

I forgot to ask how long to leave the dressing on his castration site. Any ideas? I can ring the vet tomorrow to make sure but wondered if any of you knew how long to leave it on for?

He's perked up a bit and I was able to walk him for a few mins earlier and he managed to have another wee. He's also eaten some more food and had his tablet. Now fast sleep again. he's even able to wag his tail a bit.

He's doing really well today. Eating and toileting fine but has a bit of a sob and whimper now and again.

His scrotum is bruised and swollen so right now it still looks like he has a full sack! Poor baby. The tail wound is looking very good.

He's doing really well. Pretty much back to his normal self now which is hard work as I have to keep him from running, jumping, playing etc. The only slight problem is that he does not like the castration site being looked at. He keeps having a go at me if I go anywhere near it. The only time I'm able to get a look is when he is on his back. There is some more swelling and redness of the scrotum but it feels cool to the touch and isn't causing him any discomfort. he can sit, lay down and walk fine. The incision area looks really good.

This was last night. Looks worse than it is due to the low light in the bedroom.

The hardest bit is keeping them quiet, Reuben was a nightmare and burst his stitches  the day after. It didn't help that my brother In law came around with his three kids and they were all charging about the house with Reuben

That pic was a bit fuzzy!

Better pics. As you can see his castration area looks much better now. Swelling and bruising is disappearing.

He's doing really well. He's totally back to normal now and hasn't bothered trying to lick his bits at all. His scrotum is still quite swollen but the swelling is a little less each day. It's amazing how quick they recover. I just hope Daisy does as well. 2 days till her op.

Cody is back to normal. He's a pain! Still trying to keep him calm until his check up on Monday, but it's hard work. He will have his stitches out Monday (the ones on his backside) and I will have to ask them if his scrotum is doing ok. The initial swelling and bruising has gone and the area does seem a bit flat and empty but there is still a very large, hard area that almost fills one half of his sack, making him still look fully intact when he stands.. I don't know if this is normal. It's not bothering him at all. Will find out Monday.

I can't remember what Reuben's was like so soon after his op. Both areas look good though

Check up went well. Stitches out but, the lump on Cody's scrotum area is a haematoma. The vet wasn't worried as Cody wasn't showing any signs of pain when it was examined and also, I'm certain it's got smaller the last couple of days. Been told it should clear up on it's own but if I'm at all worried, to bring him straight back. He's booked in for another check up in 2 weeks to see if it's all sorted.

It's definitely going down day by day.

He loved being back at the vets!!! Our appointment was with the nurse so she took him round the back so a vet could check the lump. Cody ran out there with her, so happy lol he just loves the attention and being touched!

As we went to leave the building, he stopped and refused to walk outside. Everyone in the waiting room was laughing. Most dogs don't want to be there but mine didn't want to leave!
