I am heartbroken to tell you,
My Precious Poppy passed away peacefully in her sleep earlier this morning whilst I was at the hospital
There was NO sign of illness
Only this morning before I left for the hospital she scoffed down some treats
She was my Everything, right now I don't know how I'm going to cope...I am struggling to make sense of this
Sleep tight my gorgeous Princess Poppy

Hi Wendy

As Martin has said, how shocking and very sad.

No words I can write can heal your pain, our dogs are our world.

Poppy passed away peacefully and although it's heartbreaking, at least your baby didn't suffer.

Run Free at Rainbow Bridge Poppy

Hugs to you Wendy xxxx Take care sweetie xxxx

Thank you for your kind words guys, it does mean soooo much

Poppy passed a week ago today and the pain is still sooo raw ... she was 14 - great age :) ... Poppy was everything to me, she came everywhere when she was younger and more fit, she loved going for car rides lol ... she'd snuggle up in my bed at night, she was precious ... I think it's harder because has I said before there was no sign of illness ... both my previous dogs were euthanised due to illness ... I ask myself should I have taken her over to the vets before, perhaps they could've found out if anything was wrong but I had no excuse to even think anything was wrong ... last Tuesday morning she went outside to do her business and ate her treats afterwards before going back outside again then jumped up onto the sofa and settled before I left to go to the hospital which is where she was when we found her, only dead :'(

Yesterday the vet telephoned so my daughter kindly popped over and collected Poppy's memorial items that had been delivered back from the pet crematorium ... hopefully she's now running with her brothers at the bridge xxxx

There is nothing you could have done Hun. Try to take some comfort that she passed in her sleep and didn't suffer with an illness before she passed

I can't imagine the emotions you must be feeling Wendy.  Our dogs are so precious and that loving bond we develop is like no other.

I hope you can find some comfort in knowing Poppy didn't suffer and drifted away in her sleep.

Hugs xxx

Must be one of the hardest things we have to deal with group hug group hug
