PostSubject: Staffiezone and Fundraising   Fri 07 May 2010, 11:13 am

I thought in view of some events that have been happening on the internet over the last week that Jo and I should say something about the funds that we raise for Staffiezone for those of you that do not know us so well.

Staffiezone has its own organisations bank account. This was set up in 2009 with the sole purpose of raising funds for Staffies in need and other dogs, organisations or individuals who needed help with funding.

The forum is a free forum, free to join and free to stay joined there is no obligation to donate or buy anything.

The website set up, server hosting, domain name and any other costs associated with running the two are paid directly by Jo and myself. NONE of the money that we raise for Staffiezone is used to purchase any of this, nor the prizes, rosettes or other items that we give away to members; it is all either donated by very kind people, companies or purchased by us two.

In 2009 we raised £663.12 and you can see from this post http://staffiezone.boardonly.com/help-raise-funds-for-rescue-f38/funds-raised-2009-10-distributed-t2153.htm where all the money went when we distributed it to rescues and causes in February 2010. We kept the £63.12 in the bank.

The only thing deducted from any donations or money raised are the PAYPAL fees which we have no control over and is a fact of modern life and the internet.

So please rest assured that anything collected for Staffiezone, be it cash, cheque or PAYPAL goes to good causes, rescues or an individual to help out.

If you have any questions please feel free to ask publicly on the forum (as it may interest others) and we will answer; all our funding is open and you can ask anything apart from asking the identity of people who donate and wish to remain anonymous.

Hi there, i am in the process of organising a charity dog walk for staffies and have got most things sorted i.e where to meet, they are happy for us to do so which is great!! poster, sponser form, directions, photographer!! but what i need to think about now is which charity to help - i want to help them all!! i need your advice on what to put on the poster as i dont want people thinking that its not a genuine collection and i see from this post that you give to many different charities. would it be an idea that i put your details down that we are all going to be collecting for and then the money can go into your pot for distributing?? i can then put a genuine charity reg number on and feel happier that people will know where the money is going. i am so excited about the walk, i want to get this issue sorted so that we can go public and spread the word!!! jumping

Hi Jo, its going to be at Rivington Park in Bolton. its such a lovely place. i have no idea how successful its going to be, but even if its £50 made, then its a little something to help the furbabies. i'm quite confidant that a few will turn up, i know quite a few people with dogs as i've put all breeds welcome. xx

We are not a registered charity, but we do have our own Staffiezone bank account. All our funds go into the pot to be distributed to rescues and good causes for Staffies in February as above.
