I am just wondering how many members own a dog that is aggressive with other dogs?

How do you deal with with? Do you deal with each issue as it happens? Do you use tactics to distract or do you just avoid seeing other dogs by walking where you are least likely to see any.

Does it stop you getting involved in events where there are lots of dogs present?

Just curious as to how members would deal with this?

My girl is fear agressive, I try not to let any off lead dogs approach her. As she will start growling a lot and may try to attack. Very hard situation that i do avoid going places where there are lots of dogs.
I am very happy that she is now playing fine with 5 or 6 dogs that are calmish that she knows. She has built up a trust over a period of 3 months with them.
Her problem started when she was attacked, so now I have to show her not all dogs are the same, but protect her from any off lead ones.
She is fine if a dog walks past and ignores her, but any sniffing she finds it invading her space and thinks they may get her.

Daisy is horribly dog aggressive when she is on the lead with any dog, we have a behaviourist coming on Tuesday to start working with hey.

She is completely different off the lead except she hates puppies, the fact that she has been attacked and badly on 3 occasions in her short 10month old life.

I am vey fortunate to say that none of mine are aggressive

That said Charlie has been attacked and i am very wary of dogs rushing her as her body language indicates that she is uncomfortable with it. She also has a dislike for dogs that are manic in their way or who display signs of aggression in any way. Thankfully she never does anything and never utters a murmor but it is clear that she is ready in the defence should the dog choose to attack her however i never let it get that far

Georgie has become defenisve agressive, I am more aware of it now. She was an angel until the Patterdales and Westie had a go and intermittently other dogs have show agressions and she just gives it to them stright back. Happened at Flyball yesterday, collie cross came over to our lane, it took a snap, I was right behind Georgie after she came back from her run thankfully and just about to put her lead back on and she went for it in return, she had her racing harnes on and I just lifted her up into mid air. Its crazy now
