| We have a great vets with all hospital facilities on site. Know most of the regulars - been there too many times Was thinking today changing our vet is the only thing that would worry me about moving home - |

| my vet has only ever upset me once and thats because they refused spey buffy when she was 6 months , i was threatened by a numpty that he was putting his boy over the fenc to put them to as he wanted a pup of buffy i was worried sick so had to shop around , plus i nearly lost pip on her first season
other than this they are awesome i can ring up and usually guaranteed an appointment the day i ask for depending on if its an emergency and they are also relativley cheap .
the vet i used for buffys spey were good though although to treat for demodex it cost me 120 every 6 weeks expensive bill at the end of the 3 months lol |

| My vet is fantastic, ex-rugby player, dedicated to the pets, superb advice, sympathetic and helpful.
I will be gutted when he retires - lets just hope his staff carry on his good work. |

| I had a lot of concerns about my vets when Jack passed and now I will only see the senior vet (he used to own the company but sold it to CWS).
They are very expensive but we know each other very well and Mr Gourley is top notch with Chloes back. I did go and look at another one locally based purely on price but I did not like the vets or the practice itself and decided to stay where I am.
I do always insist on seeing Mr Gourley and will only see anyone else if he is on holiday or it is an emergency |

| Happy enough but I don't have much choice as I am with the PDSA as I am out of work. As soon as I get a job (please let it be soon) I will be probably find a new vets. |

I often wonder if you don't get the more caring animal lovers at the PDSA - seem more animal than profit focused? |

| my uncle swore by the vets at the pdsa even when he was in work and paying for his dogs treatment he would say that the good thing about being out of work is being able to use the pdsa as they dont just want your money they geninually do wnat to help the pet and wont add on extras that are really not needed |

Well tbh I seem to find the vets are so over worked that they are very grumpy and want you in and out as quickly as possible. The nurses however are usually lovely.
I don't mind though, they do a great job and I would be lost without them. Only problem is that they no longer offer neutering at my local PDSA as they are so busy and have a huge backlog. The credit crunch has ment more people needing their services but they have no extra staff to cover this. |

| I think sadly most animal charities are suffering at the moment.
Can't believe they dont offer neutering - used to be the most important issue for them. |

| i think in some cases they do but i find i prefer my vets at the shelter as i stil lget my vet i also get cost price treatment and i,m also helping towards the rescue i worked in to so it workls always :))))
i had to take raziel up last thursday as he had got his nose well bitten by bungle and i mean well bitten to the point he couldnt breathe when i found him that morning so although i wasnt worried i just needed antiboitcs etc and hadnt been to him for a while so couldnt ring and ask for them this time and i was going over that way anyway i decided to pop in and see them all again there was great catching up and not getting a stupid bill at the end (didnt get my vet mind but was one from his surgery and a really good one to always is ) was £36 quid now had i gone where i had bungles 400 opp done it would have been over 100 when it wasnt needed |

| The vet I always see has retired so they have a new head vet.
He picked up straight away that Reuben had a heart murmour despite another vet having given him a full health check only a few weeks earlier so again I will be insisting on appointments with the new head vet _________________

| I am happy with mine. Whwen we lost our cat Pheebee last year i know that they tried all possible to keep her alive but they advised it was kinder to put her to sleep. Very understanding x _________________

| I have seen a few here...some are good...others should be car mechanics to be honest.
We have the type that genuinely care about the animals...and then we have the type that charge excuberant prices so they can pay off their new vet clinic!
Ok ok...I am a worry pot when it comes to my pets. But if I don't take them to the vet...who is going to help them! I made a commitment to Ruby when I got her...to feed her good food...to give her shelter and fresh water and to look after her...know her signals and tells if she is not feeling quite right.
I think some vets take advantage of people like me to be honest. They KNOW I will bring her in and we have on more than one occasion paid for absolutely useless tests etc, because they know I will do whatever for my pets.
But when I REALLY needed them....when Ruby busted her knee at 5 months old and was in serious pain...they sent me home and said to come back the next day. My poor girl was in agony and it turned out she needed surgery and had 3 pins inserted into her knee to keep it stable! |
