PostSubject: Kittens with female dogs?   Wed 27 Oct 2010, 4:09 pm

Last night I woke to the sound of sucking!! no way

The dogs and Candy all sleep on my bed. I woke up and looked around and then heard growling. I wondered what the hell it was then I realised.....Candy was suckling from Daisy! Daisy was not at all impressed and was growling at her but sure enough there was Candy pawing at Daisy's belly and sucking hard on a teat!

Now 3 times today while she has been snuggled up with Daisy, she has done the same. Daisy keeps growling so I have pulled Candy off her each time.

Has anyone else experienced this?

It is a sign that they have left mummy too early and she is just looking for a replacement. Get a old towel or something like that she will curl up with and suck on that, my 16 year old still curls up next to me when I have my dressing gown on and will pad and suck on the pocket on it.

Be careful with Daisy not that I blame her lol but she might snap as she doesnt like it.
