She's lovely I wanted to take her home, its my friends housemates dog. But she hasn't been trained anything, not even house trained. So every time I go there I try getting her to sit. My friend said Talula doesn't pick things up very easily but I think they just need to be a bit more persistant.

I think people sometimes assume little dogs dont need to be trained. My sister has a very small JRT and she has never really done anything with her and now she is paying for it.
Because she was so small she never trained her on a lead and she was very much babyied and molly coddled. Now she is suffering with aggression issues at 2 years old and if my sister reprimands her she growls at her and has started to snap at the kids. My sister is in a very difficult position at the moment, most sadly of her own doing.

I hope your friend invests some time in Talula, all dogs need to be trained and know their place, regardless of size and how cute they are x

I really enjoy it, would be my ideal job! Its so rewarding when you see they have learnt what you've trained them!

Is it true that Chiuaua's are not so clever? Or is it a myth

Oh I thought so, I will let her know.

I found it hard to get her to sit, she's so little and jumpy and fast! But I didnt release the treat until she was actually sitting. Would love to have had longer with her we just nipped in at lunch time.
